A Min With Vin II

First off let me start by saying I hope you all had a pleasant Easter. However, for many the past week has been riddled with dismay.

-The world witnessed another tragedy this past week with the terrorist bombings in Brussels. Just a few months after the attacks in Paris, these attacks instilled fear and horror all over the world. This attack left 31 people dead, four of whom were Americans and 270 a additional people were injured. As of now Belgian prosecutors state that three people are being held on charges of participating in terrorist group activities. The Brussels airport will begin its gradual reopening this week with staff testing new arrangements and designs for passenger check in. The Belgian government must approve of the new system before the airport can return to regular service. In no less than a week later another terrorist attack occurred, this time in Pakistan. A Pakistani Taliban faction claims responsibility for the bombings that occurred on Sunday March 27th. The most recent attack claimed the lives of over 65 people and injuring over 300, with Christians being the intended targets. Many of which were women and children was described by a spokesman for U.S National Security Council as a "cowardly act". Three days of mourning have been announced as well as a pledge to bring those responsible to justice. These groups are showing their true weakness by resorting to these cowardice attacks as this is the only outlet they thrive in. They live off of the fear they bring. The dilemma of an absence of a clear cut plan to get rid of these kind of groups is frustrating. These attacks cannot get the best of us. We must remain firm and united in order to prevail.

-Moving over to America, Senator Bernie Sanders recently won the primaries in Alaska, Hawaii and Washington state by yuge margins. This trend of "Feeling the Bern" will be coming into full swing as we move forward to the Democratic National Convention where the nominee will be decided. For the time being Sanders is pushing for a debate in New York before the states primary on April 19th in an effort to sway undecided New Yorkers. Clinton may have one more thorn in her thigh aside from Sanders as the FBI released they are going to begin to question her. As for GOP front runner Donald Trump, he is denying any involvement with the release of the sex scandal story of rival "Lyin" Ted Cruz. Cruz states the source of the article is someone who works on Trump's campaign team furthering his notion that this is nothing more than a farse. Kasich reiterates these personal attacks are in poor taste and that he is the best possible candidate for the Republican party and the only one capable of beating Clinton in the general election come November. Expect future posts regarding the election as we get further into the year.

And with that, the minute is up.
